Day 1: Ninh Binh
From Ha Noi - Driver collects you in a private car from 8:00.
From Ninh Binh - We collect you from your hotel at 10:00.
Between 7.30 and 8.00 in the morning our driver will meet you at your hotel. We depart from your hotel, a car ride through city and meet the bicycles as we enter Van Lam village, the village is farmed for embroidery and stitching by skilled farmer-artists. This is also the amazing landscape where rivers run through Tam Coc - three caves (also called Ha Long Bay inland) and is considered as the most stunning karst limestone mountain paranoma after Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province.
We visit Bich Dong (the Pearl Cave) area, if you are lucky on the way we can see groups of monkeys or moutain goats playing and hanging on the green limestone mountains around here. A visit to Bich Dong Pagoda, founded here hundreds of years ago, is a deepy spritual experience.
We stop for lunch a local restaurant with specialty food of Ninh Binh.
We continue biking through the landscape and arrive at Thai Vi temple located in a valley belonging to Van Lam hamlet, Ninh Hai Commune, the temple made entirely of stone, was built to worship 4 kings of Tran Dynasty and Queen Thuan Thien.
We arrive at Hoa Lu ancient capital to visit this historic site. Hoa Lu is the site of a 10th century capital of an ancient Vietnamese Kingdom called Dai Co Viet. This small Kingdom covered an area of only 300 hectares and regined from 10th century during the Dinh and Le dynasties, to the 11th century, during the Ly Dynasty. The kingdom was enclosed by a citadel, The citadel and the Yen Nga limestone hills provided good defense for this kingdom against the invaders. We are back to Ninh Binh by 16:00.
We return to your hotel in Ha Noi. Arriving there about 18.00.
