Amazing Northern Vietnam Tour – 6 Days 5 Nights

Day 1 – Arrival in Hanoi [Meals: None]
Arrive at Hanoi airport, pick up and transfer to your hotel. Start your exploration with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside) at Ba Dinh Square, then visit the Temple of Literature (Quoc Tu Giam), Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070. Stroll past Hoan Kiem Lake and explore the lively Hanoi Old Quarter, soaking in the culture, street life, and traditional architecture. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 – Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Ninh Binh [Meals: B/L]
Depart Hanoi and travel about 2 hours to Ninh Binh, the “Halong Bay on land.” Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, including the temples of King Dinh and King Le. Continue to Tam Coc, where a sampan boat trip takes you through limestone caves and lush rice paddies (approx. 90 minutes). Enjoy the scenic landscapes and meet local farmers. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 3 – Ninh Binh – Mai Chau Hideaway [Meals: B/L/D]
Drive to Mai Chau, passing scenic bamboo forests and local villages. Visit Suối Lốn village, enjoy a boat trip on Da River to Ngoi Hoa Bay, and explore the tranquil river landscapes reminiscent of Halong Bay. Arrive at Mai Chau Hideaway Resort, admire panoramic views of the Da River valley, and visit Muong and Dao ethnic villages, learning about traditional crafts and daily life. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Day 4 – Mai Chau – Hanoi [Meals: B/L]
Morning visit to Go Lao Waterfall, then return to the resort for leisure. After lunch, explore Van Village, home to the Thai ethnic people, famous for rice cultivation, weaving, and basketry. Walk through the village to admire traditional stilt houses and the pristine natural surroundings. Return to Hanoi for overnight.

Day 5 – Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight Cruise [Meals: B/L/D]
Depart Hanoi for Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New 7 Natural Wonders of the World. Board your cruise and enjoy a welcome drink. Sail among majestic limestone formations and emerald waters, visit hidden caves, go kayaking or swimming, and savor fresh local seafood. Participate in a cooking class, enjoy a sunset party on deck, and try night squid fishing. Spend the night in a deluxe cabin on the cruise.

Day 6 – Halong Bay – Hanoi – Departure [Meals: B/BR]
Begin the day with Tai Chi on the sundeck, then enjoy a scenic cruise and optional bamboo boat ride. Relish a hearty brunch before returning to the harbor. Disembark and transfer to Hanoi airport for your departure flight, carrying unforgettable memories of Northern Vietnam. End of services.
