Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi tunnels (B, L)

Morning (07:30)
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Depart from Ho Chi Minh City for a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels (approximately 50 km away).
Cu Chi Tunnels are one of the most famous historical relics of Vietnam’s national liberation war. This vast underground network stretches over 200 km, interlinked like a cobweb. During the visit, you will explore different sections of the tunnels, including kitchens, food and ammunition storage areas, medical rooms, meeting halls, and command centers.
Guests can experience crawling through selected tunnel sections of 15 m, 30 m, 60 m, or 100 m, depending on individual health and comfort. At the end of the visit, you will have a chance to taste boiled cassava (Khoai Mi), the main food of the Viet Cong during the war.
After the visit, return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch.

Afternoon
Visit Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883 by the French, with most construction materials imported from Marseille, France. Nearby, explore the Central Post Office, constructed between 1886 and 1891 and designed by Gustave Eiffel.
Continue to the Reunification Palace, originally built in 1868 as Norodom Palace and inaugurated in 1873. The palace was heavily damaged during the war and became a powerful symbol of Vietnam’s reunification when tanks of the liberation army entered it on April 30, 1975. Today, it stands as a historical landmark reflecting key moments of modern Vietnamese history.
The tour concludes with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, which provides insight into the Vietnam War through photographs, documents, and a collection of military equipment.
