Day 1: Cooking Class
Begin at 9:00 or 16:00 everyday.
Meet the chef in the restaurant and get a brief introduction to the Vietnamese cuisines cooking program. After discussing with the group, take a small walk to the Hang Be market. Be fascinated with the stroll of the color, noise and the scent of the various foods. Stroll around to visit distinct food sections with their variety of herbs, vegetables, meat and seafood which brings you very close to the simple life. It is very interesting to see and learn how the local women chooses and buys the best quality of the fresh food from numerous food stalls in the market.
Back to restaurant for a little rest and enjoy Hanoi filtered coffee or jasmine tea (coffee and tea are complimentary).
Cooking methods and utensils will be placed properly on each table. You will prepare and cook by yourself under the instruction of the chef from the begining to the end. Learn how to marinate and spice the food as the most crucial lesson. You will also enjoy decorating dishes with carot flowers, lemon grass stems, banana leaves and curved chili.
