Day 1: Arrival Hanoi (D)
On arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International airport, transfer to city. Dinner at the super restaurant in French Quarter of Hanoi. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi City tour (B, L)
This full day tour takes you around Hanoi's most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his Stilts House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby, and the Old Quarter, the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake with lovers street Thanh Nien, the Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple and one of the city's museums, either the History Museum or the Ethnology Museum. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show.
Day 3: Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay (B, L)
Meet you at hotel at 7:30, we drive to Halong City, approximately 3 hours away. Get on cruise then visit Halong bay. Transfer back to Hanoi.
Day 4: Ha Noi - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L)
Transfer to airport and fly to Danang. Enjoy Danang City tour, including the Cham Museum where you can find out more about this ancient but advanced civilization. After leaving Danang, visit Marble Mountains, where there will be the opportunity to climb to the top and admire the temples that have a commanding view over the surrounding district. We will continue to the delightful town of Hoi An, approximately 30km away. Once in Hoi An we will check into our hotel and have some free time to explore.
Day 5: Hoi An - Hue (B, L)
We bid Hoi An farewell this morning and continue our north bound journey. The destination for today is the old imperial city of Hue about four hours away. Along the way we will travel over the Hai Van pass , stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach before arriving in Hue.
This afternoon we embark on a tour of the city. Visit the Ancient Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City , the Imperial Museum and the Dong Ba market.
Day 6: Ancient Capital Hue City Tour (B, L)
The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. Setting in the converge of rivers, and gives you a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda which is considered the unofficial symbol of Hue, and the greatest Buddhism Centre in Centre Vietnam.
We process to the eccentric Tu Duc's tomb . From here we will cruise further to the ornate Minh Mang's tomb . We will enjoy lunch on boat before getting out the Dragon Boat. We drive to the very strange Khai Dinh's Tomb before making our way back to hotel.
Day 7: Hue - Ho Chi Minh (B, L)
Transfer to Hochiminh by flight. Visit The Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, Remnant War Museum, Giac Lam Pagoda, China town with ancient pagodas and temples, and bustling Binh Tay Market.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) - Cu Chi tunnels - Cao Dai temples (B, L)
Enjoy a morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Cu Chi district, and Tay Ninh Province. Upon arrival in Cu Chi district, make a couple of stops for photo opportunities and a visit to a rice paper making factory at Tan Phu Trung Village. Experience ourselves the underground village of Cu Chi guerrilla fighters, which is simply a network of tunnels built during the long years of wars. Continue to drive another an hour and half from Cu Chi towards Tay Ninh to visit the incredible Cao Dai Great Temple, and attend the noon time service with architecture that could have come straight from a Walt Disney fantasy and where all the major faiths of the world blend together in a unique religious cocktail; photo opportunities during the ceremony. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Drive back to Saigon and arrive at 4 pm. Free at leisure for the rest of day. Overnight in Saigon
Day 9: Mekong Delta - (B, L)
Leave Saigon to lush My Tho where we boat on a private boat to through the green vegetation of the canals to an orchard, where we are treated to a delicious lunch in bonsai garden in the heart of Mekong, complete with tropical fruits. We also visit the snake farm Dong Tam that breeds snakes for, among other things, snake wine and enjoy a bonsai garden in Trung Luong before heading back to Saigon.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) Departure (B, L)
Free at leisure until transfer to aiport. Tour concluded.
