Day 1: Phnom Penh (Arrival L/D)
Meet Upon arrival at Phnom Penh transfer to your hotel. Visit the Independence Monument, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda located within the grounds of the Royal Palace (its floor is made up of 5000 silver tiles). Lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the National Museum built in 1917 showing exceptional traditional architecture and is devoted to preserving and displaying Khmer art and sculptures. Take a tour of the Notorious Tuol Sleng Museum (Genocide Museum). This museum was formerly a high school before becoming a detention and torture centre Khmer Rouge regime. End the day with a visit to the Central and Russian Markets which make for excellent souvenir shopping.
Day 2: Phnom Penh – Mondulkiri (B/L/D)
Depart to Mondulkiri having lunch on route, visit the beautiful Romnear and Senmonorom Waterfall enjoy a swim or relax. Continue to visit Coffee, Duran, Mango, and Cashew plantation.
Day 3: Mondulkiri (B/L/D)
Visit minority villages and rubber tree plantation. Have a picnic lunch. Continue to visit Phnom Das Kramom a mountain top offering stunning views over the province. Take an elephant ride before returning to your hotel to relax. In the evening enjoy watching minority ethnic dance performance
Day 4: Mondulkiri – Stung Treng (B/L/D)
Travel to Stung Treng, stop at the 100 Pillar Wat (Sarsar Mouy Rouy), have a look for the Golden royal stupa built in 1529.
Day 5: Stung Treng – Ban Lung (B/L/D)
Travel to the Laos Cambodian border to take a boat ride to see the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins. Visit Mekong Blue is part of an NGO developed to increase life skills which assist in breaking the cycle of poverty for vulnerable women in the Stung Treng region. It is now regarded as producing one of the finest silk products in Cambodia. Have lunch before continuing to Ban Lung spending the afternoon at the Yeak Loam Lake
Day 6: Ban Lung (B/L)
Drive eastward, towards the Vietnamese border. Stop in some Tampoun villages and observe their tribal customs try bargaining for traditional handicrafts such as baskets, pipes and gourds. Cross rubber trees, cashew nut and coffee plantations, stop at the village of Bokeo before visiting Andong Meas (the gold well) and the Se San River, take a ride to see Jarai villages before returning to Ban Lung.
Day 7: Ban Lung - Phnom Penh (B/L)
Transfer back to Phnom Penh stopping in Kratie for lunch.
