The temples of Angkor are a feat of Khmer engineering and art, defining each different Khmer Kingdom. The architecture and irrigation systems are a masterpiece that would struggle to be replicated even with today’s modern technology. The French influence is seen at Battambang with colonial villas and relaxed place. The hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh can be seen from the moment you arrive in this vibrant city and contrasts of its history can be seen at the Royal Palace and “Killing Fields”.


Day 1 Siem Reap (D)

Pick up from the airport and check into your hotel in the afternoon visit the most famous temple, Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. Enjoy dinner and a cultural Aspara show.


Day 2 Siem Reap (B/L)

5am optional visit to see sunrise at Angkor Wat, otherwise after a leisurely breakfast at your hotel visit Banteay Srei temple built around the 10th Century and regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art.


In the afternoon visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, built in the late 12th Century. See the famous Bayon temple, Phimeanakas Temple within the Royal Palace enclosure, Baphoun Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. 


Day 3 Siem Reap - Battambang (B/L)

Depart by boat to Battambang at 7am taking about 5 hours along the Tonle Sap Lake spend the afternoon at Phnom Banon a mountain top, giving some great views of the area.


Day 4 Battambang – Phnom Penh (B/L)

Ride on one of Cambodia’s unique forms of transport, a bamboo train. Drive to Phnom Penh to the Royal Palace and the famous Silver Pagoda, lined with a tiled floor of 5,000 silver tiles.


Day 5 Phnom Penh (B/L)

Visit the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum formerly used as a prison during the Khmer Rouge reign and known as S-21. After lunch take a trip to Wat Phnom and the Russian Market before transferring to the airport  for your onward flight.
