 Day 1: Bangkok

Arrive at Bangkok Airport; transfer to hotel.

Optional: Bangkok City Introduction

Get on the BTS Skytrain, boat ride to the historical quarter to visit Wat Po and the Grand Palace. Continue by Tuk Tuk on the Thai Champs Elysees, Rachadamnoen Avenue, to Wat Saket. Then make a short climb up to the golden mount. Take the bus-boat along a canal to visit Jim Thompson’s house Museum. At the end of the day, go shopping at the shopping center.

Day 2: Bangkok - Ayutthaya (L)

In the morning drive to Ayutthaya.

Upon arrival, get on a Tuk Tuk to discover the ruins and ancient temples. Briefly stop near the Muslim quarter and sample one of the most famous specialties of Ayutthaya – candy floss roti. If time permits, visit local houses to see how handicrafts produce palm leaf Fish mobiles. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon, boat ride to Bang Pa In Summer Palace and explore the royal mansions. Continue to Wat Nivet Thammmpravat, one of the most distinctive Buddhist temples.

Overnight in Ayutthaya


Day 3: Ayutthaya - Uthai Thani - Phitsanulok - Sukhothai (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Uthai Thani. Exploring to Koh Tepo, the famous community for incense stick. Depart to see the Crystal and Golden Halls of Wat Tha Sung. Go to the mountain to visit Wat Sangklat Rattanakhiri.

Continue driving to Phitsanulok, lunch and visit to Wat Mahathat featuring Thailand’s most beautiful Buddha image – Phra Puttachinnarat. Visit to Cha Tawee folk museum.

After that drive to Sukhothai, the kingdom's first capital.

Day 4: Sukhothai - Lampang (B,L)

Visit Sukhothai Historical Park which was a walled city surrounded by a moat. See the main sites of the Historical Park. Bike ride possible in supplement.

Lunch is served in traditional Thai style.

Continue to Lampang, a large trading centre during the 19th Century.  Visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. It is believed to be one of the oldest wooden buildings in Thailand.

Visit Wat Pong Sanook, a temple awarded by UNESCO for Culture Heritage Conservation provides an inspirational model of community in saving a unique Lanna temple. In the afternoon, take a horse cart ride along Taladkao Road.

Day 5: Lampang - Phayao - Chiang Rai (B,L)

Explore the Lanna morning lifestyle at the local market.

Depart from Lampang with a stop at archeological gate pass “Pratu Pha” which it historical paintings are believed to be the longest in Southeast Asia.

Continue to Phayao situated on the scenic Kwan (Lake) Phayao. Visit the interesting Wat Analyo.

Arrival in Chiang Rai late afternoon, visit Wat Rong Khun with its unique “kanok” architecture. Continue with some of the temples, Wat Phra Kaew with its beautiful brass and copper Buddha image.

Day 6: Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Chiang Mai (B,L)

Breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mae Sai. Walk around the local market, visit Chiang Saen on the banks of Mae Khong River, opposite of Laos. Take a boat ride along the Mekong River to get a closer look at Laos and Burma.

In the afternoon, transfer to Chiang Mai.

Drive up the mountain to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the temple on the mountain, and the most sacred in North Thailand. Our guide will explain the story of the temple and lead you around its impressive chedi and show its beautiful murals. In the late afternoon, after your private blessing ceremony, witnesses the magical evening chanting of the monks.

Day 7: Chiang Mai - Bangkok by Train (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the Mae Ping River banks and Warorot market for a stroll. Continue by rickshaw along Tapae road, Chiang Mai’s main street. From the eastern gate, explore ancient Chiang Mai on foot, including the Three Kings monument, the city’s most important temples Wat Chedi Luang, and Wat Phra Singh home to a very old and sacred Buddha image.

Depart to Chiang Mai Railway Station for an overnight train back to Bangkok.

Day 8: Arrive Bangkok

Arrive at Bangkok Railway Station in the morning, end of service.
