Day 1 Siem Reap (/)
Pick up at Siem Reap International airport (please enquire if you need flight arrangements) and transfer to your hotel. Set off for a late afternoon visit to a spectacular view of sunset from the top of Bakkheng Hill. Evening is yours to sample the nightlife or relax.
Day 2 Siem Reap (B/L)
5am optional visit to see sunrise at Angkor Wat, otherwise after a leisurely breakfast at your hotel visit Banteay Srei temple built around the 10th Century and regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Continue to visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, The Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Lokiteshvara, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at Local restaurant
In the afternoon visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat, the temple complex covers 81hectares and distinct of five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks and Jungle temple Ta Prohm a place discovered and retained much of its mystery. Ta Prohm is where the famous movie of Tomb Raider took the spot before returning to your hotel.
Day 3 Siem Reap - Battambang (B/L)
Start the day with one of the most beautiful boat trips in South East Asia. Leaving from Siem Reap along the Sangker River, you will travel down the river passing through protected wetlands, narrow waterways and floating villages. Arrive in Battambang and spend the evening exploring the town.
Day 4 Battambang - Phnom Penh (B/L)
7am departure to Phnom Penh, spend the afternoon seeing the Royal Palace, National Museum and Silver Pagoda.
Day 5 Phnom Penh (B)
Spend the day seeing the sites of the city. Visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum formerly used as a prison during the Khmer Rouge reign and known as S-21, followed by the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and Wat Phnom. In the afternoon explore the Central and Russian markets. The evening is free for you to check out the nightlife in the capital.
Day 6 Phnom Penh and Onwards (B)
Travel to your onward destination if heading to Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh or the Mekong Delta we can arrange travel or an onward tour for you please enquire for details.
