The Imperial Citadel of Thanglong
The Imperial Citadel of Thanglong is the cultural complex built by 4 dynasties: Ly, Tran, Le, Nguyen. The ruins of the citadel roughly coincide with the Hanoi Citadel today. The central sector of the imperial citadel was listed in UNESCO's World Heritage Site in 2010.

Vietnam Military’s History museum
Officially the Museum of Military History, the museum is located in the south-west corner of the Hanoi Citadel.
This museum is the place, where exhibits many artifacts, tools, weapons... in war period. Visiting here, tourists can find out more about the life of Vietnamese in the hardest years, the courage, the patriot of them to get back the peace for the country.
A bonus is an opportunity to ascend the Flag Tower (Cot Co Tower) adjacent to the museum.
